I have 8 kitties, all with different fur lengths, Angelica in the picture has the longest, thickest fur. I gave this four stars because it is a bit misleading thinking you are somehow using steam, which actually worried me. The blue light shows the mist of water at any temp giving it a “steam” look. You still can add warm water to groom your pet. All my cats liked it and they also love the water brush that cleans well with a pet wipe in it or without. But I think misting brush is an accurate description and I still had to use a rake comb on Angelica which she enjoys when done gently.

Great for dogs and cats
This brush works great for my siamese and shorter haired dog. Neither like water but the dog was fine once he felt it a little and got used to it. For my cat, I mist the area first and then turn off the mister and brush her. This collects more fur than the bristle brush but I alternate them to upkeep her coat.
